Mike Phillips, is Professor of Interdisciplinary Arts at Plymouth University, the Director of Research at i-DAT.org and a Principal Supervisor for the Planetary Collegium.

Dawn Melville is i-DAT’s Director of Operations and heads up i-DAT’s commercialisation and organisational management, making meaning and sustainable ventures out of complex interdisciplinary collaborations.

i-DAT is a Research and Design Collective playfully experimenting with data. We co-create and share technological prototypes and practices, that push and challenge the boundaries of digital arts and creative media practice. Our focus is on making ‘data’ tangible, playable and readily available as a material, to generate new meaning and inform participation, audience engagement and innovation in the arts. i-DAT looks after the Immersive Vision Theatre, a ‘shared virtual reality’ Fulldome immersive media environment for data visualisation and simulation.
